In the past few years there have been many conversations around CBD, as well as its uses, value, benefits, and its place in the open consumer market. It has been called everything from “snake oil” to a “miracle cure.” Claims range from saying it’s great for treating stress to a powerful cure for cancer and everything in between.
CBD In The Medical Community
Doctors tend to be reluctant to prescribe CBD products, and the FDA states that it is illegal for CBD companies to make any medical claims related to their products. However, CBD has shown positive results in clinical studies on both animals and humans, and there is at least one approved prescription drug with CBD (Epidiolex) that is used in the medical field to treat extreme forms of epilepsy.
The Consumer Experience
CBD has also proven to be the most helpful in treating sleeping problems, stress and anxiety, depression, general aches and sore muscles, and chronic pain. While there have been a number of clinical studies (see below) that support these claims, the majority of the evidence for CBD and its positive effects is anecdotal – oftentimes based on stories from consumers.
This is why word of mouth is such a powerful marketing tool for CBD. People who have had positive experiences with CBD are happy to share their stories with friends and family, oftentimes resulting in recommending the brand and product that brought them such positive results.
Is it for Right for Me?
This is all fine and well, but the question remains: how do I know if CBD is right for me? In this case, the answer is in the question. The truth is, if you’re asking yourself this question, it probably means that you suffer from one of the above-mentioned conditions and have heard that CBD can help. If this is true, then there is a strong possibility that CBD can improve your quality of life.
Different Strokes
We must remember that every person’s body is biologically unique, and using CBD can have different results for different people. The anecdotal evidence, however, is overwhelmingly in favor of CBD since it has positively impacted the health and well-being of countless people around the world.
So, is CBD the best choice for you? The only way you can truly know the answer is by giving it a try. The most important part in doing so is managing your expectations. Remember that CBD is not an instant cure, and that it often takes time to start showing results.
We advise that you start with a small amount and gradually increase the dose until you find what works best for you. Some people use it several times a week, and others find that it’s more effective as a part of their daily regime. The important part is finding the right path for your wellness at your own pace.
And if it doesn’t work for you, that’s ok too. But if it does work for you, spread the word! The more people we can help, the more we are able to work together to make our world and our communities safer, more positive, and healthier.
